The Devonshire is Vispring's entry point into the hand-crafted range, built entirely on British wool with three distinct layers that work from surface to core to provide balanced comfort and climate regulation. The ticking is woven from wool and viscose, combining softness against the skin with durability for decades of use. Beneath it, a layer of hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool offers immediate give, encouraging air movement to moderate temperature through the night, while a deeper layer of British fleece wool provides depth and resilience to prevent uneven surface compression over time.
The spring system features a single tier of 1,716 hand-nested, calico-pocketed Vanadium steel coils in a King size, each resting in its own calico pocket to respond to weight independently for personalized support. Vanadium steel maintains its tension longer than standard carbon steel, a reason it is used across the range. Available in four tensions — Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm — with King sizes that can be split for different preferences. Two rows of hand side-stitching reinforce the border coils for a firm, consistent sleeping surface to the very edge, while hand-tufting with felt washers anchors the fillings in place to prevent lateral shift over years of use.
